Summer Trap

Mid week summer trap is back with the warm weather! Just like trap on Saturday mornings but from 4pm until dusk or 9pm on Wednesday evenings.

Cost is $4 per round for members or $8 per round for non-members. Prepaid cards are available.

Members are encourage to stay for the post shooting pot luck barbecue.

Christmas Dinner

Come celebrate the Christmas season on Sunday Dec 16 2012 in the Clubhouse starting at 5pm for Members and any number of their guests.
$20 per person by pre-purchase only (no pay-at-the-door) with now just 6 tickets left.
Menu supplied and prepared by a local catering organization:
- Appetizers
- Salad
- Roast beef
- Variety of vegetables
- Dinner rolls
- Dessert
- Tea and coffee

Payment by cash or cheque can be made to any Board member or into the club office mail slot, or by mail by this Sat Dec 8. Please enclose your name(s), membership #(‘s), and number of guests.

Membership Renewals

Yes! It’s Membership Renewal time!! The weather is cooler, dusk comes earlier, and the office is filled with hundreds of envelopes and thousands of papers!

Renewals submitted by the September 30, 2012 deadline will be processed, and letters will be mailed out, by mid-October.Renewals submitted by the October 31, 2012 deadline will be processed, and letters will be mailed out, by early to mid-November.

If your membership renewal package is received at the club house (either in the mailbox or dropped off in the office mail slot in the door) by Sunday, September 30, 2012, your renewal fee is $250.00 for regular members and $65.00 for associate members.
If your membership renewal package is received at the club house (either in the mailbox or dropped off in the office mail slot in the door) by Wednesday, October 31,2012, your membership fee is $275.00 for regular members and $65.00 for associate members.

Note: If your membership renewal package is not received by October 31, 2012, you will be considered an INACTIVE member.

Please do not email requesting the status of your renewal as we can not answer 500 emails and process renewals at the same time.

Club Clean Up Day

Sat Sept 15th 2012, Start 9.30am

ALL MEMBERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND
The range will be closed this day for the Eden Mills writers festival, so this is a great time to volunteer a few hours of your time to make your club a better place for all users.

Some of the things we would like to complete are:

clean out the indoor range
give the clubhouse a major clean
paint some of the wood trim on range 4
lots of other jobs for everyone

The more people we can get to come out the easier and faster these can be done.

As an added incentive and show of appreciation, we will have a free BBQ after the work is done.

Second Annual GRGC Century Shoot – 25 August 2012

The event has been approved to be held on the 25th of August with a rain date of 8th of September.
This is a very exciting event it is 4 rounds, 100 birds
It costs $50 prepaid and $60 at the door, this includes your birds, BBQ lunch, and many prizes!
The big change this year is we have 3 handicap categories to try to make it even more inclusive and have more winners!
The A category is for shooters with a 85+% average, B category 70+% average, C category less than 70% .
There will be a first , second and third place winners for each category so lots of chances to win plus there will be a door prize and a draw! We are limiting the number to 30 participants so reserve your place now and dont miss out on this!
Buy your ticket early and get the $50 discount price . And remember there is still time to hone those shooting skills !
Hope to have a wonderful event and to see you all there !

Participants needed for research project on recreational hunting in wellington county

University of Guelph researchers are looking for volunteers to take part in a study of recreational hunters and rural identity in Wellington County, ON.

Are you a licensed hunter residing in Wellington County, ON?
Do you conduct some or all of your recreational hunting activities in Wellington County?
Are you 18 years old or older?
