Want to Compete in IDPA?

Guelph Rod & Gun Club is now offering the NSCI (New Shooter Comprehensive Introductory) holstering course for competing in IDPA (International Defensive Shooting Association). NSCI course not only introduces the shooter to IDPA’s shooting discipline, it emphasizes on Safe firearm control In & Out of the Holster, maintaining muzzle control throughout a course of fire (CoF).

  • Fun shooting sport for all persons regardless of age
  • Slow to fast paced pistol shooting action (at shooters comfort level)
  • Moving & static target engagement- Learn & practice new pistol handling skills
  •  Compete against others of your own skill level
  • Simplified scoring with no confusing calculations
  • No expensive equipment/gear, out of the box, stock pistols can complete
Course participants must follow: All Guelph Rod & Gun Club House & IDPA Rules. This is an all-day event which requires mandatory full attendance. (approx. 8 Hours)

Course Fee: $180.00.Prerequisites:

  1. Recommended reading… IDPA 2023 Rule Book… 2023-IDPA-Rulebook-Master.pdf
  2. Must Understand the functionality of the firearm used for the duration of the course
  3. Must have fired a minimum 1000 rounds with firearm used for the duration of the course
  4. Must have; Belt, Mag Carriers, 3 Mags, holster, firearm, ammunition, ear & eye protection.
